Community infrastructure Ojas Ujjwal Atul A balmela (children's gathering) was organised centred around promoting health and hygiene among children. The event was attended by 52 students and 32 parents | guardians of the Ojas project. A session on health and hygiene was conducted for the students, along with hygiene kit distribution and awareness of good and bad habits. The parents | guardians were encouraged to follow the good upbringing practices for children. They also attended an awareness session on savings and availing government schemes. Ujjwal Atul, the flagship project of Atul Foundation works in rural areas to implement waste segregation practices and efficient treatment of waste. Atul Foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Swachh Bharat Mission and the gram panchayats of 39 villages of four talukas of Valsad district to implement efficient waste management systems in these villages. A toilet block was constructed at Mangelwad Prathmik Shala, Surwada village of Valsad district, benefitting 65 students studying in the school. Two classrooms were also renovated in the same school.
