The project aims to promote nutrition and care of pregnant, lactating mothers and young children during the first 1,000 days of a child. The project empowers and educates pregnant women and lactating mothers on the importance of the first 1,000 days, and also trains healthcare providers to work towards providing care and nutrition during the first 1,000 days of the life of a child.
2023-24 highlights
- counselled 317 pregnant and lactating mothers
- trained 683 healthcare practitioners
- celebrated breastfeeding week with 322 participants through 14 sessions
Right nutrition for good health
‘Like every mother, I too wish to provide the best care to my child. During the training session on breastfeeding, I learned how to bond with my child to provide the right nutrition to him which will help my child become healthy and happy,’ shares Manisha Naika.
