Footprint Atul Foundation predominantly works in and around the locations where Atul has its operations and offices. It is working to gradually widen its coverage to other parts of India. During 2023-24, the Foundation has undertaken | supported projects in seven states - Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and one union territory, Daman. Outreach improved quality of life in 23 villages through various infrastructure projects helped 54,892 children, youth, men and women through various health programs extended support to 4,119 needy people empowered 6,908 tribal youth through vocational training, self-help groups and other activities nurtured 52,000 children through quality education in 240 villages planted 52,190 trees and conducted conservation activities in 83 villages Platinum-green village certification to Atul village Atul village has been certified as a platinum-green village by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). IGBC is an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry which aims to facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in the sustainable built environment. The Council evaluated Atul village in parameters like health and hygiene, village infrastructure, water conservation, energy availability and efficiency, materials and resources, social and community actions, green innovation, etc. Initiatives in Atul village fulfilled these criteria and hence hold the distinction of being one among the seven villages in India that have been certified as a green village in the platinumcategory by IGBC. 14 15 Annual Report 2023-24 I Atul Foundation
