This project promotes the use of renewable sources of energy contributing towards reduction in environmental pollution, increase in energy security, assured supply of electricity and savings on electricity bills.

2023-24 highlights

• installed grid-based solar of 16 kW in 2 institutes for 816 beneficiaries
• installed 12 solar pumps of 65 kW for 122 farmers
• assessed 10 agariyas who had received solar powered pumps in 2022, they saved around ₹ 12 lakh annually

Saving energy for future

The 227 kW solar systems installed till 2023-24 will reduce 8,285 tonnes of CO₂ over their lifecycle, which is equivalent to planting 99,216 trees.
